Week 1 : Orientation

An introduction to mindfulness and meditation practice, the Zen approach and how to start a daily meditation practice.

Week 2 : Stress

An insight into our daily stressors, the impact on our minds and how we can conquer stress.

Week 3 : Meditation, Mindfulness and Physical Pain

How meditative approaches can help us with physical pain, learning to let go of the mental commentary and why awareness can free us from unnecessary pain.

Week 4 : Emotional Stress, Anxiety and Depression

How we can work with emotional pain, seeing things as they really are and why meditation and mindfulness can fight depression.

Week 5 : Role Stress and Time Pressure

Our roles in society and the stress that comes with them, how time pressure is a universal problem and effective ways of dealing with time stress.

Week 6: Taking Care of Yourself

How we can change our daily routines to benefit us, the importance of a daily meditation programme and how to expand mindfulness into other areas of our lives.

The role of meditation to improve your function in daily life,  the sharpening of focus and concentration and the longevity it can give you.

The level of engagement will determine your results. Meditation is a journey and commitment to meditation practice can change your life.

We understand that you might not be available for every session so we are able to provide you with

the information and materials on each session if you were unable to make it. 

​Meditation

   A practice of awareness and observation of your thoughts, breath or presence. Whether that is sitting, standing or lying down... a journey within.

A tool to clear your mind and regain control of your mental health.

Mindfulness

​     The ability to be fully present in whatever you do in the here and now. Whether that is walking in nature or driving to work. A tool to bring you into the present and away from worry and anxiety.

ABOUT JAMES

James is a 200 hr Meditation and Mindfulness teacher and a 200hr Yoga Teacher. James first started practicing meditation 13 years ago, starting with an Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation course. He continued the practice along with regular qigong and yoga practice. Through the years he has pursued a number of other courses on meditation and engages in private meditation sessions with experienced teachers across the UK.

 

Along this journey James was recommended learning from Julian Daizan Skinner, a Zen Master and lineage holder from Gyokuryuji Temple in Japan. He taught James a 200 hr course on Meditation and Mindfulness and gave him permission to teach.

'The training left a deep rooted and beneficial imprint on my psyche and a positive change outwardly on my life. I hope to share this with others.'
